SCIP: Surface & Coatings Innovation Prize is an annual competition to find the winner in surface and coatings innovations, co-organized by Thailand Electroplating Industrial Network Association (TEPNET) and RX Tradex to promote the advancement of the coating industry in Thailand. |

Any innovations related to surface and metal coatings are eligible. In the 2024 edition, the winner was “Solar N-Coat” from Nano Coating Tech Co., Ltd. - a coating substance made from silica nanoparticles with superhydrophobic property for solar panels which increases the efficiency of electricity production from clean energy by an average of 5% per year. The first runner-up was Nexus Surface Innovation Co., Ltd., which submitted a metal surface coating gel called NEXGEL that increases safety for users and the environment. The second runner-up was Mahidol University which submitted a surface heat dissipation film that can reduce energy consumption from air conditioners by 10-20%.
