CHANCES TO JOIN GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN NETWORK WITH NEPCON VIETNAM
JAPANESE FIRMS INCREASE INVESTMENTS IN ADVANCED TECH IN VIETNAM 
According to the Japan Trade Promotion Organization (JETRO) report, in 2019, the rate of Japanese enterprises investing in Vietnam was 66%, and 64% of those businesses responded that they had plans to keep expanding their business in Vietnam in the future. Also, based on a survey conducted by NNA – a Japan research company, Vietnam was voted by Japanese enterprises as the most promising investment destination in 2020 among Asia countries, surpassing both India and other countries in ASEAN. Many Japanese enterprises have been set up long terms plan to go with the potential of Vietnam's rising economy, notably big names such as Toyota, Honda, Panasonic, Canon, Sumitomo.

GOOGLE, MICROSOFT ACCELERATE SHIFFTING PRODUCTION TO VIETNAM
Google is set to begin production of its Pixel 4A with its partners in northern Vietnam as soon as April. The company also plans to manufacture its next-generation smartphone in the second half of this year directly from Vietnam. Meanwhile, Microsoft is scheduled to start producing its Surface line, including notebook and desktop computers, in northern Vietnam in the second quarter of this year at the earliest. The presence of 2 giant tech firms will create active business environment for electronics manufacturers as well as push-up the production for supporting industries.

VIETTEL DEVELOP 5G NETWORK AND EQUIPMENT 
Viettel Group, Vietnam's largest mobile telecom operator, intends to use its own core technology to build a fifth-generation network as the state-owned company prepares to launch ultrahigh-speed wireless services by 2021. Together with the 5G technology, the 5G equipment production will become one of top priority for investment by manufacturers in the electronics field. Most business leaders expect the 5G network transformation will bring up opportunities to get closer to the global supply chain.
