Ever since AI (Artificial Intelligence) was conceptualized and developed, it has been widely used in simple and complex tasks as well as intelligent projects. For example, it is used in service and hospitality, autonomous vehicles, artistic creativity or recommendation for investment decisions. At the same time, it is important that AI is used ethically under related regulations where the AI users assume full liability and conscience because this will act as a barrier against dangers and risks of misinformation.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President/CEO of Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), one of the supporting organizations of METALEX 2023, discussed the directions for promoting the application of AI in various aspects as follows:

In each of depa's missions, AI plays a vital role in various directions. depa is working to create a Digital Competitive Advantage for sustainable competition in the digital landscape, aiming to drive the development of the digital economy and society in 4 areas: d-DATA: Processing large-scale data resulting from the interconnection of devices, individuals, businesses, and society, combining with the efforts of BIG DATA, AI, and BLOCKCHAIN. d-AUTOMATION: Linking and processing large-scale data to achieve automatic control in the production of goods and services, management, and accurate delivery. d-ACCESS: Accessing digital technology and interconnected data through digital platforms. d-CONNECT: Interconnecting devices, individuals, businesses, and society for seamless communication.
Currently, AI is developed continuously, potentially leading to the emergence of new business models. Therefore, from a government perspective, AI can be utilized to enhance public services. In the business and industrial sectors, preparations need to be made to adopt and use AI technology to gain a competitive edge," Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon concluded. |
