Over the past 3-4 years, AI technology (Artificial Intelligence) has increasingly become an integral part of business and industrial activities. With the upward curve of AI application including in metalworking industry, the METALEX team has asked Mr. Niti Mekmok, President of Thai IoT Association, one of the supporting agencies for METALEX for his perspective on AI and Thailand.
“Currently, the Thai government has created a National Artificial Intelligence Action Plan for Thailand Development (2022 - 2027) which has resulted in various support measures including measure to support the increase of manpower, measure to develop infrastructure and ecosystem, measure to promote the application of AI in both the public and private sectors, as well as the development of regulations, laws, standards, and policies related to AI in the country.
“In addition, major IT companies are continuously developing the Large Language Model (LLM) that have resulted in the creation of Chat GPT which is very popular for searching or working. Therefore, the application of AI will no longer be difficult, and it is imperative that we use AI correctly, so it is beneficial for the advancement of organization and society.”
