| Toyota Motor has announced an investment of 1.5 trillion yen, or approximately 450 billion baht, for the production and development of batteries used in electric and hybrid vehicles by the year 2030. |

Toyota is also planning a joint venture with Panasonic, with whom the company had previously established Prime Planet Energy and Solutions (in 2020) to develop electric vehicle batteries with an aim to launch 15 electric vehicle models by the year 2025. For next year, the company is planning to premier one electric vehicle model which has been jointly developed with another car manufacturer, Subaru.
